European boutique TALIENS grows in June with strategic additions in the firm’s Munich office: Tobias Malte Müller (43) joins as partner and Federica Togo (42) as counsel. They will further strengthen the firm’s soft IP practice (trademarks, designs, domain names).
Tobias and Federica are both admitted to practice in Germany and Italy and have extensive experience in the soft IP sector with a particular focus on cross border litigation, famous trademarks and proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
“These additions underscore TALIENS’ strategy of providing clients with its services in all fields of IP, Tech and Media” said Thomas Lynker, one of the founding partners of TALIENS Germany. “This new team completes our offering in the IP sector.”
“TALIENS France is also excited to welcome Tobias and Federica”, said Clara Steinitz, partner in the Paris office. “Their experience, synergy with our existing client offerings and their international network is an added value for TALIENS clients.”
“We were attracted to TALIENS because of the excellent reputation this firm managed to acquire in just one year since its start in May 2017 and of the opportunity to propose to our clients the full range of services across all sectors of IP and Media” Tobias and Federica said in a joint statement.
A big thank you to our clients and peers!
Two years after its launch, TALIENS is ranked in the 2019 EMEA edition of Legal 500 for the Intellectual Property and Media practices of our Paris office.
Prior to joining TALIENS, Tobias headed the IP practice of a Munich based boutique firm (2009-2018) and worked in the trademark litigation group of Bird & Bird (2004-2009). He holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University in Mainz (Germany) and received a French university degree (Maîtrise en droit) from Paris XII University.
Federica has worked in a Munich based boutique firm (2009 – 2018), at Bird & Bird LLP in Munich (2008-2009) and at Baker & McKenzie in Milan (2004-2006). She holds a PhD in International and European Union law from the University of Florence, Italy (2008), benefiting from a scholarship from the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property Law and Competition in Munich (2007).
TALIENS has been established in 2017 as a European boutique firm in IP, Tech and Media. TALIENS has offices in Munich and Paris and cooperates with BAYLOS in Madrid. All TALIENS attorneys have multi-year experience in the intellectual property, media and technology groups of leading international law firms. The firm is therefore able to combine the quality standard from an international law firm with the responsiveness and client focus of a boutique.
