Monika is Co-Founder and Partner at TALIENS Germany.
She specialises in intellectual property law and handles a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters. Monika also provides strategic advice in relation to the protection and exploitation of IP rights and know-how and regularly drafts and negotiates complex agreements for her national and international clients.
Monika focuses on advising clients from the media and entertainment and the technology sectors. This includes advising on the development, production, acquisition, and distribution of content over all platforms and devices as well as on collecting societies. She also has extensive experience with intellectual property issues in insolvency situations and in transactions.
Prior to co-founding TALIENS Monika was a Counsel in Olswang’s Media, Communications & Technology Team and has worked for nine years in Olswang’s Berlin, Munich and London offices (2008 – 2017). Before joining Olswang, Monika worked at Linklaters in Berlin (2005-2008).
Monika studied law in Munich and holds a PhD in copyright law from the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property Law in Munich. She also holds a Master in European Audiovisual Management from the Media Business School in Ronda (Spain). She was admitted to the bar in 2004.
